As a volunteer with Academy of Friends, you will make a tremendous difference in the battle against the AIDS epidemic. Be a part of the fun and excitement as you help support Academy of Friends throughout the year or to produce one of the Bay Area's largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers. Volunteers are the heart of the organization. We are lead by a Board of Directors comprised entirely of volunteers. With only one paid staff member, AOF would never be able to accomplish its mission without hundreds of wonderful volunteers supporting our endeavors.

General Office Assistance
Raising hundreds of thousands of dollars each year generates a lot of paper. With limited office resources, AOF can always use a few extra hands in the office for data entry, general office work, donation processing, and other clerical activities.

Underwriting Event Support
AOF hosts several underwriting events at some of the hottest venues in San Francisco. Hosting a successful event requires logistical support for guest check-in, food and beverage service, and ensuring that our underwriters and enjoying themselves.

Gala Support
How do you throw the biggest Academy Awards party for over 1,000 guests? With the help from an army of volunteers, AOF brings down the house and delivers on its financial commitments to its beneficiaries.
